SmartStop owns or manages 209 properties in 22 states, the District of Columbia and Canada

January 24, 2025: SmartStop Self Storage REIT Inc., a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT), acquired two New Jersey facilities that were previously managed and branded by CubeSmart, an industry REIT and management company. The purchase includes a three-story structure at 1204 Broad St. in Clifton. Built in 2021, it comprises 116,100 net rentable square feet of climate-controlled space. The six-story building at 591 N. Union Ave. in Hillside offers 111,600 net rentable square feet of climate-controlled and drive-up storage.
