The facilities are expected to open next summer 

May 29, 2023: Phoenix-based U-Haul International Inc. intends to build new self-storage facilities in Bakersfield, California; Belton, Missouri; and Port Clinton, Ohio. The four-story Bakersfield location will be constructed on a vacant, 11.45-acre lot at 9407 S. H St. It’s expected to open next summer. 

The company recently acquired a 5.8-acre parcel in Belton on which it will develop a 600-unit facility that’s scheduled to open in mid-2025. The three-story Port Clinton project on W. State Route 163 will offer 650 storage units. It’s also planned for completion in 2025.
