The newly built three-story building offers 61,354 square feet in 800 units

November 16, 2022: Shurgard Self Storage Europe SARL, the European affiliate of U.S.-based REIT Public Storage Inc., opened a new facility in Cologne, in the North-Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. 

Shurgard operates 26 facilities in the country. It has another under development in Berlin, expected to open next year, and two more opening in D?sseldorf and Stuttgart in 2024. The company operates 262 self-storage properties comprising 1.3 million net rentable square meters in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
