The facility has been sold for $2 million
June 17, 2015: Self-Storage Operator Mayflower Properties recently acquired Dot Mini Storage in Coon Rapids, MN for $2 million.
The property consists of 40,000 square feet in 240 storage units.
According to a source, the facility was established in the year 1984 on 6.7 acres and it has room for additional development. Features include a manager’s office and apartment, coded gate access, heated warehouse space, and perimeter fencing.
According to a source, it will be the 10th location in Mayflower’s portfolio.
Marcus and Millichap is a commercial-property investment firm brokered the deal.
Real estate firm Marcus and Millichap has over 1,500 investment professionals in offices throughout the United States and Canada. It has closed over 7,600 transactions in the year 2014 with a value of approximately $33.1 billion.
Mayflower started functioning in the year 2002 and it manages self-storage
facilities under several brand names in Coon Rapids, Eagan, Lakeville, Long Lake, New Hope and St. Louis Park, Minn.
According to a source, Badzin recently sold Maypak Products, a distributor of boxes, locks and moving supplies, which he originally launched to complement the storage business.
