Spaceship allows customers to schedule free item pickup, track belongings, and schedule delivery of items home online
February 18, 2015- Spaceship has 35 residential customers and 3 business customers for its valet self-storage services after three weeks in business. The company will complete 20 traditional self-storage facilities in Singapore that offer 1.5 million square feet of leasable space.
Spaceship plans to differentiate from its competitors by targeting small businesses as well as accepting odd-sized and bulky items, Rohit Mulani, head of sales and marketing, told the source. All items are stored by the bin or individually in a secure warehouse, according to the company website. Bin drop-off and collection is free, but customers must pay to have bins returned to their specified location.
The company is expecting the current funds to last for nine months. It aims of acquiring 5000 customers in its first six months. Spaceship is likely to seek Series-A investment sometime in the future as per sources.
