The converted self-storage facility is spread across 71,000 square foot area

February 10, 2015- Universal Storage Solutions (USS) opened the self-storage facility in Winston-Salem, NC this January. The property is located at 401 Jonestown Road. It features 550 climate controlled units, three enclosed units and dock high exterior units. The self-storage facility also has a business center with a FedEx ShipCenter, conference room, free Wi-Fi and coffee bar.

During the conversion, a mezzanine was added to the interior of the existing 53,000-square-foot building to create a second level. The project is a good example of recycling an existing structure into a more useful and better-suited purpose, USS partners Ron Crowell, David Dixon, Gary Pharo and AJ Ross told the source.

The self-storage property will be managed by Universal Storage Group, a Smyrna, Ga.-based property-management firm. The company offers owner training, start-up services, facility design, feasibility studies, general-contractor services and brand development for self-storage facilities.
