The self-storage company has donated two storage units to County Harvest Inc., a nonprofit food-rescue organization
February 3, 2015- The storage facility in Pelham, NY will donate two units to County Harvest Inc. for food drive. County Harvest has received this year's Feed Four More program, in which Whole Foods grocery stores raise funds to purchase food for local residents in need.
The donated storage units were used to work on sorting of food donations and prepare them for distribution to soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters.
"We are committed to partnering with organizations like County Harvest to help the communities we serve. If our neighborhoods are happy and healthy, it positively affects our employees, customers and business," said Amanda Wethington, manager of marketing programs. "Essential programs like the ones County Harvest and Whole Foods coordinate provide a strong backbone of fellowship and support, and we are proud to be a part of it."
