Park Place Storage Condominiums is planning to develop facility for vehicles and expensive “toys” like jet skis and motorcycles
January 6, 2015- The Company has got approval from the Cottage Grove, Minn., City Council to construct a 238,000-square-foot facility in Grove, MN. The facility will be specifically designed for boats, RVs, cars and other expensive “toys” like jet skis and motorcycles. As per the company website, Park Place customers own their storage spaces and pay fees to cover building insurance, electricity, grounds maintenance and snow removal, which makes it different from other self-storage facilities.
Owner and developer Paul Jorgensen told the source the facility will be built out in phases, with the first phase calling for the completion of one building and partial construction of a second structure.
Indoor unit sizes will range from 300 to 15,000 square feet, with no outdoor storage offered, according to the source. “This is going to be higher-end, heated structures, bigger doors, more amenities, a wash bay,” Jorgensen told council members last week. “The toys are getting bigger and the need is getting bigger.”
This will be Park Place’s sixth self-storage facility in Minnesota location. The company also owns a facility in Lebanon, Ohio. The new facility will be developed on a site of a former golf dome.
