The self-storage has opened inside a former paper mill
January 22, 2014- WI Self Storage is located in large blue building at 1117 W. Washington St. The place was vacant for more than three years. Jim O'Malley, a Milwaukee-based real estate developer, and local investor Lorne Tschanz bought the building last year for $1.9 million.
The conversion project is ongoing, with the facility’s first 140 storage units available for rent. It will eventually have 640 units, with some large enough to store vehicles or boats.
The self-storage in Appleton, Wisconsin will have drive-in facilities for its customers. They can drive inside the climate controlled building to unload their belongings at the storage unit. The self-storage facility will have 640 units with RV and boat storage spaces.
It features other amenities such as alarmed security system, electronic gate access, video cameras, complimentary internet access at the business counter, UPS and FedEx package-delivery acceptance and more.
