February 27, 2017: Based in Phoenix, Wentworth Property has developed more than 7 million square feet of commercial office and industrial space has recently opened a new self-storage facility in Tempe, Ariz.
Converted from a former furniture store, the property comprises 65,312 rentable square feet of storage space in 606 units. Facility offerings include climate control, keypad access, moving carts and video cameras. The property is on an arterial road near homes, retailers and restaurants, the release stated.
"We are very excited to be in Tempe. Currently, we have over 12 storage locations in the greater Phoenix market, so we are fortunate to be able to now serve Tempe as well," said Jason Lopez, chief marketing officer for WPI.
Founded in 1985 and based in Irvine, California, WPI is a real estate investment company that acquires, develops and operates self-storage facilities as well as provides third-party management services. Its portfolio includes 110 facilities comprising more than 7.5 million rentable square feet in 14 states. It's affiliated with Westport Memphis Self Storage LLC.
