The property is expected to open this fall and will be managed by self-storage real estate investment trust CubeSmart
The property is on the southwest corner of its juncture with Texas State Highway 66. It will comprise 77,000 rentable square feet of storage space in 763 climate-controlled and drive-up units.
The project marks a greater presence for HSM in the brokerage and ownership of self-storage assets, said Chris Storm, an associate in the company’s investments division and the development manager for the project. “Henry S. Miller is interested in becoming more involved in self-storage, which it sees as a strong real estate investment asset class,” he said. “HSM has owned self-storage properties before, but this project represents a new area of development.”
