MyStore Self Storage Facility opened its door to customer in Oxfordshire, England
The self storage facility officially opened on September 16

September 27, 2016: MyStore Self Storage hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony this past summer to celebrate the grand opening of its facility in Witney, Oxfordshire, England.

According to a MyStore press release, David Cameron, former prime minister of the United Kingdom and a member of Parliament, cut the ribbon for the 350-unit property on Book End Industrial Estate during one of his last days of constituency business.

I am thrilled to say that after all the hard work we have put into this project, we are now seeing results,” Schmidt said. “In providing a much-needed facility for the community, we are not only helping local residents, we are also assisting the growth of local businesses. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved.”

MyStore was the vision of life-long friends Charlie Schmidt and Tom Skelton, owners of House & Carriage, a removals company based in Charlbury, England. The duo decided to enter the self-storage industry because the area lacked the service, the release stated. The towns of Burford, Carterton, Charlbury, Chipping, Eynsham, Norton and Witney didn’t have a large-scale self-storage complex. Given the region’s wealthy demographic and population of around 100,000, Schmidt and Skelton were convinced there was an opportunity. To help finance the project, another friend, Jim Clemence, signed on as an investor.
