The self storage facility is expected to open early next year
September 26, 2016: Self-storage developers Sallie Deen, Andy Freeman and Mike Thompson recently broke ground on Petra Storage Solutions in Opelika, Alabama.
According to the source, a public ground-breaking event and media day, slated for October 5 at 10 am, will include officials from the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce.
The three-story facility will have over 75,000 rentable square feet of climate-controlled space and offer two sizes of outdoor vehicle parking. It will also feature a business center with a conference room, 60-inch color monitor, free Wi-Fi and a coffee bar, and a retail center that sells moving and packing supplies.
The three partners will oversee the facility’s development, with Freeman serving as the project manager, the source reported. Universal Storage Group, an Atlanta-based self-storage
management and training firm, provided consulting services and will manage the property once it opens.
